This is old stuff proffered by a person who, for some reason, has a bone to pick. Notice the retail price is about $5k, having nothing to do with the current financials. It also indicates a margin of $1000, a silly amount, far too low to be a successful company. Effectively, these are useless, obsolete financials representative of initial guesses by Elio that were totally wrong.

Agreed, that guy seemed to have something personal against the company.

I like my $100 dollar t-shirt so much, I am trying to determine if I want to wash the shirt or put down money for another Elio and shirt.

Hello to all: My name is Bill and I am from the eastern shore of Maryland. I became aware of the Elio recently when it was mentioned in the "Sword and Shield" magazine. The "S&S" is a magazine distributed to members of the law enforcement motorcycle club, the "Blue Knights".
I am really interested in the Elio and have read a lot about it. I just found this forum and decided to join.
So, from time to time, I will be asking questions and following the development of the Elio.
One question I have is about guarantees.
If I go "all in" and pay the $1000. deposit are there any guarantees?
Will I lose the $1000. if the car is not produced?
What is the production timeframe?

Hope to hear from someone about this. Thanks
I went the $1,000.00 nonrefundable. Because it puts you first in line to receive your car.
Will pay back $1,500.00 when you receive the car. You can get the refundable deposit but it does not
give you the extra $500.00 and puts you back in line. This car will be produced because too many auto
mfg. and people have invested lots into it. They say production will start about Jan. 2015.

Bad News People! I was about to pull the trigger when I saw this. It isn't pretty. In fact, if this is accurate, Elio Motors is a scam and nothing more.

Ya, I saw another article this yutz wrote bashing Elio. Claims a trike with two wheels in the rear is more stable than one with two in front. Apparently he's never studied a thing called Physics. Just a hack writing 'op-ed' pieces; just his pinion so the truth doesn't matter.

There are always those with ulterior motives, especially if the are in the small car market. Any potential newcomer, like Elio, might be considered by some, a serious threat. After all, greed and money are companions and a great motivator.

The big three are a scam, remember the bail outs and the bankruptcies ? This allowed the big three to use your tax dollars to purchase a bus ticket to Mexico or some other country leaving the American worker on the street. Invest in Elio and invest in the American worker. You can invest in the government run lottery's and casinos and end up with nothing or you can invest in Elio and end up with a lot better odds of getting something that is better than the big three have ever produced. Even if the price of the Elio doubles there is going to be one in my garage just because I want the American workers to have these jobs.

Ford Motor Company never took bail out money. Unlike GM and Chrysler.

Yes, either way, the money is spent. Just like a lottery ticket.
