The company has announced that the E-series builds have started. Yay! How about some photos of the production line and the vehicles in-progress??? I understood these were to be built on a line in production fashion all 25 at a time.

It is already about the middle of Feb. They will have to get cracking if they are going to finish these 25 E-series, do the testing, make fixes AND get the main production line up and running by the end of the year.

BTW do we know the name of the production honcho guy/gal and his or her background?

Can't really relax now that we the reservationists only "SEEMED" close to getting our ELIO by 2017 "PROVIDED" the additional funding (the big one) is acquired before month 7 per EM's layout! Or EM will have a "fully tested" E-series (funding acquired) on a stand still without continuity to actual production! But thanks for the advise!:D

Based on EM's progress there was apparently no COO position held from 2007-up until Hari Lyer was hired in 2014, or possibly the former COO wasn't doing a very good job.

Is EM currently in the E1 Engineering drawing stage since we haven't seen any drawings released? Unsettled reality.

Yah Yah. I've seen more waterfall schedule charts than you can imagine. They are easy and fun to make and mean absolutely nothing against reality.

Since EM has stated that the "E-series builds have started!" I assumed than meant metal being bent and welders sparking. Apparently "builds have started" means preliminary planning and CAD work. What we used to call "getting ready to think about planning to get started".

That schedule is mighty light on production-side milestones. "order long lead equipment - Month 9" and "plant integration - Month 9" doesn't sound like "long lead" to me. In my biz long lead means 6-9-18 mos delivery after placing the order.

That schedule has 13 mos from "E1 Engineering drawing release" to Production starts. Assuming the drawings will be released end of this month we are at around April 2017 for production start - assuming they get the money they need.

I know it's a little vague,,, but it's all we got. EM has a habit of not showing their cards (photos) till the project is nearly completed.
My WAG is actual build will start in May.

'Gotta have the faith that that is the case! Jumping to conclusion right now is a little premature. May-June is where we "should" at least have some concreate evidence of where they're at (funding issues, e-series tests completion) in relation to meeting their targeted Q4 '16 production.
