I have no informed idea where his actual "gotta live with it" point is located, but my guess is that he may decide to sacrifice a bit on the price front if that will let him hit the mpg target.excellent points with which I agree .... in thinking back to one of your recent post where you mentioned Paul being rather stubborn (for lack of a better term) about his "must haves," how do you see it playing out

It may be worth pointing out that with no actual prototypes being tested, the need for design tweaks beyond what they're already doing for the prototypes is not known. The actual prototypes may over or under perform against 84mpg highway. It's unlikely to be exactly on it.
Is that some spicy cereal, brah?Pequeno Cerebro!

I'm in no hurry to get my Elio but I gotta admit, losing the plant in Shreveport seems to me to be a ticking time bomb to the whole project...That's my one and only issue with Paul Elio and Elio Motors and as a result they lost their credibility after 6 years as an Elio groupie.
I think funding may very well happen. I don't believe with the current extension they have an option for another delay, so 2016 seems to be the final target deadline for production to start. The clock is ticking.
I agree, Elio searched long and hard for manufacturing facilities. The Shreveport GM plant fell into his lap and he cannot afford to lose it.I'm in no hurry to get my Elio but I gotta admit, losing the plant in Shreveport seems to me to be a ticking time bomb to the whole project...
I agree. He will never find anything like this again.I agree, Elio searched long and hard for manufacturing facilities. The Shreveport GM plant fell into his lap and he cannot afford to lose it.
My plan was to put in for a second Elio just before they were going to end taking reservations. My thinking was (and still is) that by the time I got the second one, I would be ready for another one maybe equipped a little differently... that said, if I had it to do over, knowing what I know now, I would have gone with a "Want in" rather than an "All in." (Want in being refundable). I may still go with the second reservation but only if it looks like things are showing signs of improvement.Hello Forum!
I'm new to the group, but have been following Elio for the past year. I'm intrigued by the vehicle and would like to own one, but I'm hesitate to put down a deposit. If you were me, would you do an "All In" reservation now or not?
