I respectfully disagree. The internal combustion engine is only about 27 to 30% efficient. The other 70% (heat energy) goes out the tailpipe. Diesel is a bit more efficient. I must add that Shell scientists were able to get 150 mpg before 1950...in full size cars. If you're interested, watch the documentary "Gashole"

Thanks. I grew up in California with this music and it just proves that good rock-n-roll never dies, it just gets better. Makes me want to listen to "Surfin USA" and all the Beach Boys songs. Instead of being the "Little ole lady from Pasadena" I can look forward to being the old man in the Elio cruising the coast highway..
