Interestingly, I got a response from the editor -- he said his feelings were hurt -- and went back and forth a couple of times with detailed explanations of why Elio CAN make it -- at least stimulated him to ask who he could talk to at EM about various issues that Green Car Reports STILL hasn't gotten straight, such as helmet law issues. I put him in touch with Joel Sheltrown, vp gov't relations for Elio, so there's at least a chance he'll take a second look. So maybe that's a crack in the troll wall. Maybe. We'll see.

Good Job Ekh! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

And here's part of Momentum v61.
It does confirm that the E1A will not be used for test drives; unless you can talk the Continental Tire people out of it.

First E-Series Vehicle Revealed

The energy in the room consisted of both excitement and a sense of pride and accomplishment as we prepared our first E-Series vehicle – the E1A – for debut in front of what turned out to be a standing-room-only, capacity crowd of Elio Motors’ suppliers and invited guests at our Pilot Operations Center in Livonia, Mich. We’ve been sharing details about the progress of the first E-Series vehicle for the last few weeks, but there’s nothing like seeing the finished product unveiled for yourself.

The E1A sat patiently under a green Elio Motors cover as Paul Elio spoke about the challenges that the company had overcome to get to the testing and validation stage represented in the E-Series. Finally, with the jingle of keys in Paul’s hand, the cover was removed, and the E1A made its first public appearance before a crowd of more than 250 attendees.

After the keys were ceremonially passed from Paul Elio to a Continental representative, the Elio Motors supply partner that, among other components, will be calibrating the anti-lock braking system on the vehicle, the reveal was complete.

The unveiling of the E1A resulted in a standing ovation from the suppliers, government officials and Elio Motors employees attending the event.

The crowd, which included engineers and executives from more than 82 different suppliers, media outlets, a handful of elected officials (including U.S. Congressional Representative Debbie Dingell), Elio Motors board members, and a number of company executives, gave the revealed E1A vehicle a standing ovation. This unveiling signified the progress that the company had achieved in reaching this phase of testing.

The reveal for the E1A is the culmination of a number of events and milestones that Elio Motors has completed in its journey to produce a safe, American-made, affordable, and fuel-efficient vehicle. These include:

· Raising nearly $17 million in a Regulation A+ stock sale in February of this year

· Listing its stock on the OTCQX Best Market (OTCQX:ELIO), making Elio Motors the first, and still only, company to raise money through Regulation A+ and have its shares trade publicly

· Announcement of its innovative ePlus mass personalization system at the New York International Auto Show

· Completion of vehicle engineering of the Elio in preparation for this event

· Opening of the Pilot Operations Center, where the E-Series vehicles are being built, in preparation for testing and validation activities

With the unveiling of this first E-Series vehicle recorded for posterity, we’ve now quietly swept up the confetti and our team is hard at work again building the remainder of the E-Series vehicles in preparation for the rest of the testing before our 100 pre-production vehicle fleet build occurs.

To hear Paul talk about the vehicle and see not only the E1A, but also the P-Series prototypes as they were displayed at the reveal, click the image below.

What I like about the video is how much Paul has grown -- he is more relaxed, thinner, more confident, more at ease with his audience -- and obviously delighted with the occasion. The ovation from the crowd -- the cheering, yelling, energy -- these people are committed to the success of the Elio. And since as Paul says repeatedly they ARE the project, that's a good thing!

The E1A will come back from brake testing at Continental and be put to other tasks, be sure of that. Even the crash vehicles will do other things BEFORE they're totaled. Go Elio!

You do none of the above. I was able to use that to open actual conversation with him and steer him to the right person at Elio to help him correct his errors. So ... let the sleeping dog (aka sob) lie!

Ekh is quite right...... As far as he went.
We wait and see if the person (un-named) he spoke with took the time to do his due diligence before writing more garbage.
If he shows he has taken the time to get the facts, we let it go.
(That doesn't mean we have to agree with his conclusions based on those facts.)
If not we go for the throat.

Did anyone else notice that the bare chasiss (behind Paul) in the video, has an obvious "rear door?" It appears to be more like a what we have seen on the Dominos delivery Chevy Sparks!
Hmmmmm, Has Rousch (and EM) been planning ahead?.......:tea:
