getting gas in wv sucks. getting Anything in WV sucks. they nickle and dime Everything they can from 1,000 different things instead of hitting property tax and income taxes.

Just as an example to us all on how fragile the fuel supply is, last weekend, part of the BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana was shut down for emergency maintenance. Gas prices at BP stations in the region immediately went up about fifty cents a gallon. within three or four days, all the other stations were raising their prices too, even though their supply was not impacted.

Of all the years I lived in NJ, pumping our own gas was not something we were allowed to do.

It might be changing.

That last title is SOOOOOO misleading. They are merely trying to pass legislation to make it legal to pump your own gas. Lazy idiots can still have someone perform the mundane (and yet, to some, impossible to figure out) task of squeezing a handle.

Tips to those who "don't know how" to pump their own gas:
1. open fuel filler door and remove fuel cap if provided. (The indicator on your dash points to the side of the car where this is located.
2. swipe credit card
3. push button for correct fuel (usually 87 octane)
4. put nozzle into car fuel port.
5. squeeze handle (you may have to lift a lever on the pump first to activate the flow)
6. When it stops on its own, stop squeezing the handle and replace nozzle.
7. Take receipt.
8. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MOVE YOUR FRIGGING CAR BEFORE GOING ON AN HOUR LONG SHOPPING SPREE IN THE STINKING GAS STATION SO THE POOR GUYS WHO ARE WAITING TO FUEL AREN'T SITTING AROUND LONGER THAN NECESSARY!!!!
