Can we change "views" to "reservations"?

When I was looking up some information about the Vanderhall and headlight, I found something that makes no sense. We all know the Vanderhall is a 3 wheeler, aluminum chassis, carbon fiber body, has no airbags, basic comforts and pretty much half a windscreen and no other windows. The weight of it is 1550 lbs. How does the Elio get 1350 lbs? I know the Vanderhall has a 1.4l GM motor with a 6 speed automatic but I can't see that engine and transmission combo being over 200 lbs heavier. The Elio has a hatchback, 5 windows, a roof, three airbags and a cargo area.

How does Elio get their car so light?

Has a finalized production model Elio been weighed in to verify the 1350 lbs. or is it simply a forward thinking estimate?

I was looking at the specs and just like the 84/49 mpg and $7450 price gets thrown around, then I was going to just assume the weight along the same thought process. I did see that the Slingshot was 1,743 lbs. The Slingshot is a steel tube frame and uses a larger engine but it has an aluminum block as opposed to the cast iron Vanderhall unit. Arcimoto lists 1,023 lbs for it's weight (tube frame but not a real body). The Solo is 1,488 lbs (composite body and chassis).

Yes, I know and only assumed answers to your question of comparing the Elio’s assumed light weight to actual production or production ready vehicles.

Looks like the video is up to 102,503. I looked up and found the previous Elio video is up to 110,327 and it went up 11 days earlier.

December 24th when this video came out during the holidays could be the factor, and I do not know about this other video your speaking about. But this video explains about the engine which is probably this largest factor Elio is not in production.
