You will still be making stops for more than gas. With all that coffee you are drinking. Coffee in potty out.
By jove, I think you've discovered why it's taking longer and longer on my long trips. I feel so guilty! I'm becoming a compulsive road sider and didn't realize it. Where do I join up at. Hi My name is Folks and I'm a compulsive road side leg stretcher.

It's not so much the cost of the coffee you brew but the price of the coffee maker. Mr Coffee on sale less than $20.00, Keurig $100.00 and up.
I drink a couple pots of coffee a day and am somewhat of a coffee snob. My favorite is the Bonavita coffee maker that heats water to 200 degrees and drip brews 8 cups in 3-4 minutes into a thermal carafe........extracts the best coffee flavor with no bitterness from the gind..........$169, certified by the coffee bean roasters of America, and worth every penny. Is it that much better than from a $20 Mr. Coffee probably not. My Kuerig, which was a gift, is used for one cup coffee emergencies or when my wife and or a guest wants to drink a wussy flavored coffee. Coffee is my drug of choice and as the newly declared health drink along with dark chocolate......a win win.

Beverage or drug of choice as well. I've had many different coffee makers over the years and they all seemed to work well. 200 degrees is optimum for brewing coffee. Hot enough to extract the oil and flavor from the beans but not enough to bring out the bitterness. My Mr. Coffee is not quite that hot more like 175 - 185 but still good cup of Joe.

I hope it's not one of those K-cup things, I couldn't afford the coffee.

Bed, Bath and...., Ebay and more, sell "permanent" k- cup i.e. metal screen re-usable "container", use what ever your coffee tastes and budget can handle-, just fill it, flip on the cover, and bing-o, save about as much, if not more than Elio saves on gas!! slip into your elio sipping a 10 cent cup of coffee- does it get any better??

with my two kids living in Seattle I couldn't fight it anymore, my older one was an executive recruiter @ Starbucks (also own Seattle's Best)and she along with her co-workers were entitled to a few lbs a week, most didn't bother, for them and for me -too bitter. But being retired (read plenty of time), I go through the ritual of using a Pavoni, (hand pull) which ritual takes about 20 min for a good cup of espresso., If I'm out I'll take McD over a Starbucks and with my senior discount it's only a buck!!

Check out the ez cup..........paper filter, no sediment, easy to clean over the metal screen cups and still only 10 cents a cup.

My coffee of choice is "Hair Bender" from Stumptown Coffee in Portland Oregon. Have been drinking it regularly for a couple of years.

I have become a coffee snob.
I'm checkin that one out.......based on the name! I have put stuff in my regular coffee to make it hairbending.

$14.00 for 10 oz + shipping! I'm all out on that one! Stumptown would have to send out a barista to brew it for that price. LOL
