Misinformed Reviewers

Just read a fairly negative review of the Elio at http://boingboing.net/2015/02/04/40000-people-have-paid-thousa.html where the writer states that over 40,000 people have put down $3,500 on an Elio. Where do people get these "facts"??

When it first came out I even sent an email to the author about the error. What did they do? Ignored it.
Note I said "author" and not "journalist", because journalists report facts, authors make things up.

and like many heads, I agree, they too are not journalists-
Journalist

They don't need no steenking facts.
Seriously, I have been genuinely alarmed by the consistent sloppiness of the "journalists" writing about the Elio, whether they like the car or don't. Inaccuracies are rampant, and fact-checking doesn't seem to be on their agenda. I know these folks have a lot to do, but the blog and tv "reporters" seem to be sloppier than the newspaper guys -- though not much.
