If we're to believe that Patrick Byrne is going to lead Elio Motors into production, then nothing is beyond belief. As the Elio saga continues, there are flying car designs that are nearing production readiness. It's hard to believe that I could take delivery of a legitimate flying car before the Elio ever takes off.

Be my guest. Personally I going to wait till its in production to fork over the rest of my cash.Remember way back when people were asking if they could pay full price up front. Paul said no.
Well he has changed his mind.
Now, I think, he thinks, so if this is what it takes to get this thing built, then, yes, you can pay full price up front, and go to the front of the line!
I agree,, if this is what it takes to get this thing built, then do it!
Why not contract Vanderhall to build 100 signature edition Elios? They are in Utah and have experience at building fwd reverse trikes plus they can't be using all of that 1M sqft building they broke ground on back in October. Sell the signature editions to people that buy X amount of Eliocoins. Pat Byrne could would spread the word by driving his Elio around for the next 18 months. Jay Leno will buy one and do a show. Once that happens they ball gets rolling and the money pours in where Elios will be rolling off the assembly line in Shreveport in October 2019. There's no reason it can't be done right now.Wondering if they are planning on selling hand built models to get interest and finance going for the production version. At the price they would have to sell hand built models, I think I can wait.
