Check with Homeowners Insurance Company, as some companies will not write/renew policies in some areas, due the fact that the solar panels act like a sail and allow wind to damage the roof.

They call it "wind uplift".
Insurance companies spend most of their time trying to find ways NOT to pay you. They are in business to collect premiums, not to pay claims.

This is how you get paid, one up front, one aft. Even the least featured dash cam works well. Don't leave home without it!

You are 100% correct... In my youth, a tractor trailer got lost in my neighborhood (middle of the night). The driver attempted to use my yard to turn around and the trailer (he was pulling) hit my house. The trailer was insured by a different company than the tractor. (Apparently, the driver was contracted to move the trailer, he did not own it).

Any who, the insurance company for the tractor said the trailer did the damage so they were not going to pay, then the insurance company for the trailer, said the driver drove the trailer into the house, so they were not going to pay. It turned into a big mess and I had my homeowners insurance company fix my house. They (later) subrogated the claim out to the tractor company who eventually paid and reimbursed my insurance company.
