Check with Homeowners Insurance Company, as some companies will not write/renew policies in some areas, due the fact that the solar panels act like a sail and allow wind to damage the roof.

They call it "wind uplift".
Insurance companies spend most of their time trying to find ways NOT to pay you. They are in business to collect premiums, not to pay claims.

This is how you get paid, one up front, one aft. Even the least featured dash cam works well. Don't leave home without it!

You are 100% correct... In my youth, a tractor trailer got lost in my neighborhood (middle of the night). The driver attempted to use my yard to turn around and the trailer (he was pulling) hit my house. The trailer was insured by a different company than the tractor. (Apparently, the driver was contracted to move the trailer, he did not own it).

Any who, the insurance company for the tractor said the trailer did the damage so they were not going to pay, then the insurance company for the trailer, said the driver drove the trailer into the house, so they were not going to pay. It turned into a big mess and I had my homeowners insurance company fix my house. They (later) subrogated the claim out to the tractor company who eventually paid and reimbursed my insurance company.

Tesla week at our house: A few days ago someone rearended our youngest son's Model 3 at a red light. The guy cut and ran but the rear camera on the Tesla recorded the accident and got the culprit's license. Pretty cool!

Then on Sunday our oldest son came by and showed us his new Cybertruck. He gave us the nickel tour and explained all the features. Did you know a Cybertruck can fart? Amazing! :thumb:

New Subject: Saving Money. I assume all of us are interested is being thrifty, so here's a tip. Did you know you might be able to have solar power in you home for free? It's true, there are several companies around the country that will "give" you a full solar system at absolutely no cost to you. The only thing is that in exchange for this you share part of the power your home generates with them which they put on the grid to sell to other customers. Details will vary from area to area and with different companies. It's worth looking into.... believe me our light bill dropped like a rock when we had it installed... for free. :D
Wonders never cease! We applied to the neighborhood association for permission the install the solar system on our home and we got back an approval in only 2 days! Next, the solar guys will come and install 2 huge batteries in our garage. Then comes the panels on the roof.
