Dusty, looks like you owned one of the first CB750s, the "superbike" that heralded the beginning of the end for the traditional British bikes in the 1970s.

Mine is one of the last:

Here's one I sold a few years ago and still regret it:
Wow , brings back memories . Mine was green without backrest . Most reliable bike I ever owned .

69 750K sandcast, engine number #___105, found out after I sold it that it was on it's way back to Honda Japan for their museum.
I saved some memento's and a bunch of pics sitting the driveway before they took it.

Puch 175, Honda Hawk 305, Honda CB350, Triumph Tiger(a 500, I think), Kawasaki KZ400(full dressed!), Honda CB550, '79 GL1000 Goldwing, '81 GL1100 Goldwing, '83 GL1100 Goldwing, '86 GL1200 Goldwing, plus a few beaters to work on along the way.
The little KZ400 was a cool little bike. Those fiberglass side bags worked great as coolers....I think it was my last bike with spoke wheels and a chain...
Now, I'm waitin' for my EM900.......

I had a Helix. Great little scooter! It was the one that started the whole "maxi-scooter" craze. Rock solid reliable. I have read of people putting over 100k miles on them! Sold it about 3 years ago. I got it with 16k miles, kept it for 2 years, sold it with 28k miles and almost doubled what I paid for it. . I loved it! Just could no longer justify the personal risks.

Your right, great little scooter. Bulletproof !!! I currently have 129K on it and it keeps on tickin' :p

I picked it up with 1300 miles on it as an insurance write off (because they didn't know what it was !) for $200. Put about $300 into it for cosmetics and forks and have been riding it ever since :D
