Geez, I jealous! My first one was a B&S lawnmower engine on a home-built frame... BUT IT SURE WAS FUN!

My 80 year old Mother hates that my brother and I ride Harleys... I have had to remind her of that home-built mini bike she bought us when we were kids! Been riding on two wheels ever since. I showed her the Elio thinking she would approve... since it's not a typical motorcycle... Still too small to her way of thinking! Oh well! Go Elio!

Just dirt bikes. First bike was an Yamaha IT-175, second was a Husqvarna WR-400 (scary beast!). I rode like a maniac, way above my skill level trying to keep up my friends...wish they had Go-Pros back then, some of my crashes were epic! Damn near killed me, but it was a blast.:D
Dirt bikes are great! I also should have died. I was given a second life and ready for my Elio! Marshmallow (white/off white/frost/arctic), auto trans, 84mpg, roll cage, 84 mpg,did I say 84mpg highway, air bags, autocycle, low insurance, 200mile capable motor!! how sweet it is, just Elio my world!!
:)

Hey, JE, just found this post. Weren't those old McCullochs a bear to start?!?!
In the early 60s I raced go-karts (old plain-framed) with those Macs on them. Once started and warmed up, they were screamin' demons! I think I still have some "grease tattoos" from fast fixes at the track.

that brings back some memories that I'd just as soon has of stayed hidden .... the most aggravating I had was one of their Mini Mac 6's .... their first attempt at a residential, light weight saw .... if you didn't flood it when trying to start it (about the only way to prevent doing so was to not put any gas in it  ), after running it for a few minutes it would get hot and vapor lock .... in thinking back I said way to many harsh words that I'll have to pay for somewhere down the line .. o_O

I have been riding motorcycles since 1971. A TV show in 1969 called Then Came Bronson got me hooked on riding. Visit www.jimbronson.com for more info on the TV show.

President of my employer company saw me riding my bike, nicknames me "Bronson". I had to look it up, finally figured out it was the guy from the above show that he was going for. It's not a nickname that stuck, I'm ok with that. lol
