If the marshaling centers are where the options are going to be installed, it seems like they would have to be in place for the reservations to get their Elios. And that number will only climb once the 100 fleets are rolling and funding gets in place.

It will be frustrating for a lot of people to be able to test drive and place orders for the Elio once production starts but still have to wait a year for delivery, but it could be worse. Could try waiting 3-4 years

When we bought our Venza we were looking for a very specific combination, the Limited in AWD and Cosmic Grey Mica. There were none in the entire country. The sales person was shocked that we were willing to wait a whole 2 MONTHS(!) for one to arrive from Japan.

I'd be willing to pick up a vehicle "as Is" from the factory if it would eliminate a 6 month or greater wait.

Just a guess, but the first marshaling center will probably be in Shreveport at the factory.
That will let them test how that concept works.
And since they will have adequate lead time with the reservationists they won't have to fight the 24 hr window.

Speculate all you want. If Elio history has taught us anything, it's that nothing works out exactly as planned....

Unfortunately these last couple of Generations have forgotten that there is nothing wrong with being Patient and that not everything that is worthwhile needs to be gotten here and now.

You might want to try laying the ground work by communicating with your elected representatives. That way when Elio is ready, there may be some awareness of this vehicle rather than having to start from ground zero and educate people.
