Doubtfully, but there are under body coating options like at Ziebart that could be available.

I'm wondering if that's just a "case" to protect the tank. Servicing it would mean dropping it out the bottom.
I don't know of any manufacturer making heavy metal gas tanks like the one in the pictures; remember "off the shelf parts".

They do make them; most common use is for someone building some type of competition vehicle or to make an older vehicle safer like the early pickups that had the gas tank in the cab, behind the seat.

I believe they have used plastic type gas tanks in production since at least 2000. My G1 has one.

I dropped the tank in my 06 Grand Caravan. I could have swore it was metal powder coated on the inside and then a plastic like coating on the outside.

The plastics available today would have greater resistance to road salt and other denting/corroding elements.
