with the hinge for the hood bolted in place it makes sense to me that they don't plan to remove the engine again .... on the other hand, with the frame appearing to not be coated with any sort of rust protection, it makes sense to me that they have to remove the engine again ....
That made sense to me!

It looks "messy" under the hood but I have to remind myself this is still a prototype. I keep expecting it to look like the finished product.

Educate me folks.
My understanding is the E models will be hand built vehicles just as the prototypes are hand built, but they will all be built to a uniform design which is expected to be the final design. Have I got that correct?

I understand some S models come next. What are these and how many? From the progression of these builds, it sounds like these would be vehicles that are hand assembled on the assembly line, at a slow speed, using supplier parts. This would mimic the production process so the assembly line can have bugs worked out of it.

Is my understanding correct?

based on what I've read the E-series trikes will be built to a uniform design but not identical in actual construction .... each has been designated for a set purpose .... example: the ones for crash testing will not have an IAV engine .... I've seen a list showing the designated function of each "E" but can't remember where
