The pictures I have seen, the lid looks pretty thin and light.
For those who have seen it in person. - How secure is it?

Just a 'prototype'; pretty flimsy..... I could get in with a screwdriver.... if I was 'that kink of guy'!

The size of the trunk is so small...I would think that whatever you're loading into it could be lifted with one hand. The other hand could be used for holding the trunk lid up. There. Now you don't even need a rod. Can I getta $6785 anyone?

I will be interested to see what the do to make it safe, strong & burglar resistant. How it is held open is secondary.

I'm afraid I'm going to come out to my Elio in the morning only to find a would-be burglar's legs sticking out of the trunk because they popped the hatch and got stuck trying to get in.;)

I am going to have a Little-Shop-of-Horrors-esque Venus Fly Trap to handle the size of burgler who could even fit in the trunk hatch!
