This has been kicked around for awhile and was confirmed my laser measurements, that a large pizza box wouldn't lay flat, with the Elio, came the solution -make it into a calzone (e is silent) ,for those who didn't see the Godfather, it's a term used to describe folding a pizza in half, and pinching the edges.
Or put the large pizza in at an angel, yields about 3 slices with a lot-o-cheese, and less to zero for the others.

From the first time I saw an Elio on the net my one problem with it has been the lack of storage space. I have a solution, for what it's worth. What if Elio offered a second model? You can't change the width or length of the trunk easily but you could raise the roof line as it goes toward the rear and make a "station wagon" version...:p

EM & PE have stated before that additional models are a very good possibility in future versions.
They'll gather feed back on the first one and see what people want the most and go from there.

I was actually thinking of removing the back seat and installing a small box with a padded top in its place for tool/emergency kit storage. That should significantly improve the amount of cargo space at the cost of a bit less comfortable ride for a passenger that will almost never actually be there (if I expect to have a passenger, I'll use my other vehicle).

I wonder how much they'd knock off the price with a rear seat delete option? I would probably trade that for cruise control or some appearance upgrades.
