I think the handwriting on the wall is in big letters and bright colors. They started this project in 2008 and have been unable to get the project to production in nine-years-going-on-ten. That's record-setting territory. It's a significant miracle they've survived this long without shipping a product.I haven't seen the "handwriting on the wall" yet, so i'm still here.

As one of the earliest All-In adopters, I'm in it until the fat lady sings. I'll buy it if it ever gets made. I'm happy to read that they fixed the gas filler, instruments, and exhaust, but it feels like rearranging the deck chairs on a certain 100-year-old ship. The lady has been warming up in the wings for a while now...
I like what you say, but there is no fat lady. What ELIO is doing is BIG. Bigger than Tesla or any other automotive startup in recent memory. This is a high production idea. Elio has been taking all the steps to bring this revolution to completion over the years. They have also maintained that the vehicle they bring to market will be tried and true. Look forward to being one of the first to get a quality autocycle.I think the handwriting on the wall is in big letters and bright colors. On the contrary. It will be a matter of public record.Paul has said on numerous occasions that there are other funding options available, that is sure good news and always could be 'true' in an absolute sense. But to us it may be a 'sword that cuts both ways' as EM is under no real obligation to tell us that the loan has been denied or is simply no longer an option. EM never said that the ATVM loan is a show stopper so they have every right legally and morally to continue coasting along. Does the DOE have to publically notify third parties of the loan status? Maybe someone knows the answer to this, but my guess is that no, they do not have to, nor would they allow that knowledge to leak out: it would be tantamount to business interference if negative and lead to insider trading issues, either way. The loan status is likely very much private between EM and the DOE; we would never know if it was denied, nor would we ever know when.

And that is the problem. Mr. Elio doesn't have the billions or the backing or the track record Mr. Musk has. I've often thought (and said so on this forum) that trying to go from 0 to 100 in one step was a mistake. It should have started with small production to get some on the street and get some income. With gas prices well below inflation-adjusted average (i.e. cheap) and stable, SUV and truck sales setting records, and the third longest economic expansion since WWII, the market for the Elio is shrinking by the minute. And it will be another year before production begins? Not only is there a fat lady, but she's got her costume and make-up on, and is all warmed-up. She's just waiting for her cue. What ELIO is doing is BIG. Bigger than Tesla or any other automotive startup in recent memory.
