To solve the cargo hauling problem, or to carry a pet or another human, how about a side car? I know that is a silly idea, but what the heck. If I had the computer skills I would photoshop such a creature.

Ya, not such a good idea. See my post in the general discussion regarding my first experience with a motorcycle side car rig. Aside ffom destroying the gas mileage I'm certain it would add the odd handling and stiff steering to an elio that it does to a motorcycle. Although flying the side car's wheel would be interesting.

I will lay you ten to one that's in the operating instructions.
Heck, we could hang our hands out and create a soothing rocking motion by alternating our palms in the air. Must be careful that it would not lapse into a spasmodic gyrating motion at say around 65 mph though. Of course it sure would entertain the Kids for a while.

All I have to say is, WOW! Well, that's not really all...I just read all 28 pages non-stop!..(except for 2 "wee" breaks). It has been very entertaining. Most of the "replies" that I would have made, HAVE been made by Intelligent, thoughtful, and (sometimes) humorous people. You folks will notice a bunch of "likes" when you log on.
If there is one thing I have noticed (my personal impressions) about Paul Elio, Is that he is a "reasonable" man. Yes, he now has a board of directors, who may make some decisions that he wouldn't. But at this point in time, It would not be reasonable for EM to make any "hard and fast" claims until the product has been finalized and tested.
I also want to add that many of these aftermarket manufacturers do have/pay engineers to design their trailers. And the safer they make them, the lower THEIR "liability insurance" becomes.
I do, however, have a "homemade" trailer design in mind. I am also willing to accept responsibility for my own actions. ;)

You are a very brave person, outsydthebox. I salute you for your perseverance. I had also been wondering why I had so many likes all of a sudden. LOL :-) Z

WOW, it is wonderful in this day and age of unlimited lawsuits to find someone that is actually willing to take personal responsibility. Guess it just shows the character of those of us who support the Elio.

So excited to see we can carry our bikes! Does anyone one know if there will be an option for a roof rack so we can install a pod on the roof to carry extra stuff?
