There’s no denying it. Left-handers are the odd ones out. Sure, lefties make up about 10 percent of the population"...
Huffington Post. So, we may be the "odd ones out", but what percentage of our population is Left handed?

I AM LEFT HANDED . I WRITE WITH MY LEFT HAND BUT I DO IT SO POORLY THAT IT DOESN'T MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE .
I DO PLENTY OF OTHER THINGS AMBIDEXTROUSLY .
I PLAY GUITAR & MANDOLIN RIGHT HANDED BECAUSE I NEVER HAD A LEFTY INSTRUMENT TO LEARN ON .
I CAN USE CHOP STICKS WITH EITHER HAND OR BOTH HANDS AT THE SAME TIME .
Can't you just change the order of the strings to make it left handed?

NOT QUITE THAT SIMPLE . THERE ARE SOME HARD TO EXPLAIN PHYSICS THAT REQUIRE
THE SADDLE DISTANCE TO CHANGE WITH THE GAUGE IF THE STRINGS .

IF YOU LOOK AT AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR THERE IS A SLANT TO THE BRIDGE SADDLE .
IT IS FARTHER AWAY FOR THE BASS STRINGS .

TO SIMPLY STRING ONE BACKWARDS WOULD THROW THE INTONATION OFF WILDLY .
THERE IS ALSO THE ISSUE OF WIDER AND NARROWER GROOVES IN THE
NUT AT THE OTHER END OF THE FINGERBOARD .

HOWEVER , MICHAEL CARD PLAYS THE GUITAR UPSIDE DOWN QUITE PROFICIENTLY .

HERE ARE TOW OF THE MANDOLINS THAT I BUILT . THEY HAVE A TUNE-A-MATIC BRIDGE
WHERE EACH SADDLE IS ADJUSTIBLE FOR IT's PAIR OF STRINGS .

I guess no one told Jimi Hendrix. He played his Fender Stratocaster upside down and restrung backwards so he could play left-handed.
