But the Crosley was a cheap, tiny car -- kind of like the Elio that way. We had ours for years, toured the east coast fromLong Island to Florida, then NYC to Chicago (no interstates at all then), and then lugged it up and down the Berkshire hills of CT for another 3 years. Franklin is fancier,but the Crosley did the job.How about the Crosley propellor -- it actually turned!

My father had a Crosley when I was a young child. It went places in the snow that others would not dare. It was ahead of its time and now we are ready for the Elio. It's time has come for all Americans. We need more auto makers to move in this new way of thinking.
I hope to compare the DOE funded Elio to the VW Beetle's "Beetlemania" success story and they are still being built today. DOEliomania!
