Nice to be retired I can go any where in a 84 MPH ELIO!?!??

I do not commute. I-580 through the Altamont pass is now a congested Northern CA super commuter highway.
My hope is our Elio's will be able to climb the CA hills in the Fast/HOV lanes, instead of the slow lanes with them big truck jockeys playing king of the hill.

Traveled that route too many times. One of the reasons I left California.

Was just in San Diego. Rush hour
is no fun. Miami the previous week.
Took 40 min to go 15 miles on 95,
Blah....

I used to think LA was the worst traffic in the US. Just spent 9 weeks in Houston, TX. As far as I'm concerned Houston now hold that title. It took me 63 minutes to go 6.3 miles during rush hour and that was without any accidents

I used to commute from Petaluma in the North Bay to Alameda. When I was in the Coast Guard it was 56 miles each way. It was not too bad I was on a ship and was out to sea about 200 days a year.

92 round trip 5, sometimes 6 days a week. Often my weekend travels add another 150 or so to the odometer each week.

90% rural, 10% freeway. Not a bad ride if it isn't snowing.
