David, I am so jealous, I don't know what to do with myself. Congratulations.

DON'T BE JEALOUS , THE INSIGHT IS JUST A PLACE HOLDER .
THEY DIDN'T SELL A LOT OF THESE CARS BUT THEY CAN BE FOUND .
IT TOOK ME ABOUT A MONTH OF SHOPPING TO FIND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR .

I PASSED BY MOST OF THE ONES I FOUND BECAUSE THEY HAD AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION .
THE MANUAL DOES MUCH BETTER ON FUEL ECONOMY + I LOVE A STICK .
THERE WERE LOTS OF GREAT CARS THAT WERE JUST TOO FAR AWAY .

AFTER 2 DAYS OF WORK DUTY ( 120 MILES) , I HAVE GOTTEN AN AVERAGE OF 55mpg .
I WAS HOPING FOR 60 AND MAY GET IT WHEN I PUT THE NEW TIRES ON THE CAR .

HERE ARE SOME OF MY SHOPPING LINKS , HAVE FUN !

Hmmmmm there's a 2006 with only 47,096 miles on it for $6K
Not a bad deal, to bad I'm not looking for one.
Oh yeah, it's as far from me as you can get; it's in Florida and I'm in Washington state ........ bummer

Well, I gave up too. Last week I searched the US of A for a 2005-06 Baja. Found one in Minneapolis for only $8,000. They are never cheap. 125K and runs and looks like a new one.. I flew up there and drove it home. First weekend, I took the snow tires off and the road noise went away. I don't know why I take such risks, but I do know what I like to drive. I don't commute anymore so it will do me well. I am now going to sell my 2005 turbo Baja w/ 179k. I will probably get 6500 for it and come out ok for the upgrade.

Oh yeah, the car that thought it was a pickup, or should I say the 4 door car with an open trunk.
Oh yes, I remember those very well. They didn't really do either job very well (car or pickup), but being a Subaru, they ran forever.

Hey Rickb, read the post just before yours, I do remember what they were once Rob Croson gave me the link.
They were ok for what they were, and when they came out, they just couldn't quite make it large enough to be functional for when they came out.
Now, they would fit in a lot better.
