You can not buy an Elio until next fall when production is scheduled to start. Right now you can use your Credit Card to place your reservation for an Elio, from $100 to $1,000, your choice. You can reserve either "Refundable" or "All-in". If you go the "All-in" route, you will get a 50% bonus on your reservation (your $1,000 all-in reservation will be worth $1,500 when you take delivery of your Elio).

One of the financing payment options being talked about by Paul Elio is to get one of their credit cards to buy all your Elio gas with. Since you will be getting much better gas mileage with the Elio you will be spending less money on gas. Therefore what Paul offered is that you pay for the Elio by paying three times the amount of gas purchase on the credit card, the extra two times will be the loan payment. The idea is that you can pay for the Elio by your savings on gas.

For example, you fill up the Elio with 5 gallons of gas at $4 per gallon, so you charge $20. When you see your credit card statement you will see that you owe $60, $20 for gas and $40 for loan payment. This would work for anyone who wanted the new Elio to replace their old clunker who could not afford a new car.

I totally do not like credit cards, but i never thought of the reserve with the credit card. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a credit card in the mail.... I mean do you think i could get it before the Sep. 1 deadline... my score is 820 lol so u know I think i am ok.

You can also use a Debit card that is also "VISA" or "Mastercard".
