Before Monday (9.1) it was 50% of what you put up, to a max of $500. You put up $1000 and they put up $500. Now, it's 25% to a max of $250. You put up $1000, they put up $250. If you put up before Monday and upgrade after, it gets a little trickier. $100 before will get you $50. Upgrade to $1000 after (add $900) will get you an additional $225, there by getting you $275. You put up $1000 total and get $275 total. I hope my math is correct. I've been called out on my math skills before on this forum!

Only one correction, CompTrex. The 50% match was good through midnight PDT 9/1. The 25% match started at 12:01 AM PDT 9/2. Otherwise, your math sounded just fine to me. :-) Z

No. The maximum you can get from Elio is $500. You must have reserved more than 1 vehicle. :-) Z

I called them. I am sending an email to explain. The lady at customer service said it happens a lot.

They should get everything straightened out for you. I have found their customer service to be outstanding.

Does anyone know what the most matching cash or discount you can get? I put some money towards the car when they were doing the 50% thing. I am still confused...

Strange as it may seem, if it is matching cash and not a discount. Under the IRS code the $500 could be considered as taxable income, too us. The code reads "Income from whatever source derived." Yes, I used to be a bean counter.
