Proof vs evidence.

Evidence -
1) They are out of money. At least their business plan did not generate the money necessary to implement the plan.
2) They have repeatedly failed to meet their published goals and targets.
3) They decided not to go with a proven, off-the-shelf engine, contrary to their stated business plan.

Proof - it is difficult to prove a negative. Some even argue that is is a logical fallacy. I can only offer evidence that the business plan they have is ineffective. So you are correct again, I cannot prove the elio motors has a solid business plan. Can you offer details of what this business plan is, and evidence of its solidity?

It's obvious that you really want to be somebody. Say,did you apply for a "position" with EM and get rejected? Wow, that could really "smart". And don't you live close to the plant, too? So, you secretly (well...not) are trying to prove to yourself, and everyone else, that EM "made a BIG mistake...So big that they now are doomed to fail without YOU?.........Maybe that was someone else. ;)

Do you work for a PR firm that represents one of the big companies?
It may be difficult to grasp, but when I saw the press release about the Shreveport plant being acquired, and saw the pics and claimed specs of the P2, I stated that that would be my next vehicle. I told friends about it. All of my "bad attitude" comes from observation and research. Elio motors had me at the first contact. They lost me because of their continued deception and poor management. I do not work for any PR firm, nor for any company that even remotely might benefit from elio motors failure. I lament them losing their way and bringing about their own demise. I honestly do not believe that there are any businesses actively seeking elio's failure. I am acting as an observer and reporter of what I see and offer my conclusions. I would love to see elio come clean, change course and git 'er done.

Again, personal insults won't help your case. I am somebody. Nobody significant as far as you or elio motors is concerned, however. No, I did not apply for a position with elio motors, either formally or informally. I had considered it in the early stages, but the deceptive advertising left me unwilling to do so. Any yes, elio motors have made several big mistakes, but since I am not an engine manufacturer, I couldn't have solved that one.

If they succeed, you can laugh at me, and I will be happy that a new transportation option has opened up. There is no joy for me in seeing the almost certain failure of this venture.

It's a shame that the positive (their way or the highway) people can't try to have an objective view that they could be wrong just as well as the negative view could be wrong.

I think "most" do. The issue is that "most" naysayers are very bitter and come across badly. Its not so much what they say, but the tone of the posts. Things like saying its a scam, we are suckers for still believing, being called fools, head in the sand, etc. Respectful banter with either viewpoint is not a bad thing. But once the respect factor is gone, it tends to get nasty of both sides. While I strongly believe I will have an Elio, but I can see why some have doubts. No harm in that.

Now that IS funny! Everyone here has openly acknowledged the possibility that EM could fail. No surprise. We just have the wisdom to realize that we have the ability to either help or hurt this important endeavor. We also realize that NO ONE here, has the "real answers" to the "real questions". Nor do we have the "right to know" the "Proprietary information" that has NDA's (non disclosure agreements) attached. That will be revealed "in time."
What I DO choose to accept, is information from those members, who have "PROVEN their personal integrity. They have close contact with EM, and unselfishly share what they have permission to share. These ones have "earned EM's trust". And EM has earned MY trust. I also realize that every member of EM is HUMAN...no more and no less.
Then, there are those who "sneak in" under new names, without so much as a "hello, Im happy to be here!" The first thing they do is serve up a steaming plate of "pooh", and then get upset when it gets thrown back at them. No "double standard" here....If you're not comfortable "eating it"...don't "serve it." ;):)

I have been following along and enjoying the show. It does not appear to me that anyone needs my help at all in this discussion. The members are doing a perfectly good job of 'setting the record straight' without my assistance.

I find that those with a negative view are much less tolerant ..... in looking at the two extremes, I know I'd rather be happy and be around happy people .... I simply don't want to waste time being around unhappy/angry folks whose mission is to drag others down with them
