    Hey Wheaters!

I kinda thought it was same sport, different cars. I enjoyed watching cars go " up the hill " at Goodwood. Saw some highlights of that on satellite TV.

    Norahsbed Banter Thread.....

Sounds good, but I'm staying diet free through tomorrow. Lefse isn't half the problem the butter and sugar I put on it probably is. Can we discuss how bad for ya lutefisk is?

    Norahsbed Banter Thread.....

I need to hang with you guys and gals more...after tomorrow, of course!

Options And Upgrades, Cruise Control, Etc...

Bras (on women and cars) is like covering artwork with a burlap sack "to protect it". What good is a beautiful thing you can't see? My Elio will have it's front end free, for all the world to see. Seriously, I never understood putting an ugly piece of tarp on the front of a 10, 20, 30,000...

Are these the guys you run your Leige with? http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/the-little-known-series-where-the-rich-offroad-priceles-1663384610/+damon

Seriously? The Gas Cap Has A Real Unmodifiable Reason To Be On The Wrong Side?

That'd be 73-87 Rick. 88 and up are inside the frame. Still my favorite truck. Wish we could get an Elio with wimg windows. Oops, that's another thread.

    Boat Towing

My 14' aluminum with trailer and 10 horse is well over 500#. My favorite local lakes have ramps (sorta) that are steep and gravel. Elio fishing will be bank or float tube fishing for me. Besides, I much prefer my favorite kind of boat - someone else's. FWIW, Lake od the Woods and back, 1...

A Warning To Those In Texas And Those Thinking About Visiting

I admit to wasting 6 minutes before I gave up. Hope those 2 have a day job.

    Wheels & Tires

Besides the tires, dude's also high centered in his yuppie wagon. A little shoveling would have gone a long way there. Self recovery is mostly a lost art. Some days I think we've evolved too far.

    Fobo Tire

Did I kill this thread? Or are you guys just busy studying the effects of atmospheric conditions on cold tire pressure?

    Routine Oil Changes

Oil analysis might be worthwhile on a motor with no history to rely on. It's not gonna save money on oil really, as a sample will cost about as much, but it might catch something going snafu before it's too late.

    Norahsbed Banter Thread.....

Mom's side of the family is originally from the Granite Falls/Renville area. Still got some 2nd cousins out that way.

    84 Mpg At What Speed

Good grief - I gotta follow them through 3 towns just to laugh at em at one stop light...

Seriously? The Gas Cap Has A Real Unmodifiable Reason To Be On The Wrong Side?

I'd say "eff em", but nowadays they won't turn the dang pump on if you anger the pimple faced geeks working there. I learned that backing into the "wrong" side of a Holiday near work. Since then, I've just voted with my wallet and not gone back. I even gained almost a full MPG getting gas...

    Fobo Tire

Optimal tire pressure for a given weight is very close to (Max load printed on tire)/(Max pressure on tire)x(actual weight on tire). Of course this varies depending on load, even the amount of fuel in the tank. You could drive yourself nuts that way. Racers have it down to an art, even...

    Non Elio Days

Still at 1 here - but I've been sentenced to driving the truck for a few days while the commuter car gets some needed repairs. Good thing gas prices have dumped lately. I drove home last night in a couple inches of fluffy stuff, never left 2 wheel drive, and only 1 little chirp from the ABS at...

    Nascar

I've been a NASCAR fan since the 70s. I grew up watching Wild World of Sports and their weeks old coverage of a sport that was only a southeastern thing back then. I started as a Buddy Baker fan, and grew to be a fan of the brash young guy running the 2 and later 3 car, Dale Earnhardt. In...

Elio Gauge Cluster - Lord Elgin? - Other Options?

    FWIW, still hate the Elgin.

Elio Gauge Cluster - Lord Elgin? - Other Options?

If you REALLY need a tach to know you're over revving, even a big tach won't save you all the time. My ship is coming in. Elio dummy proof rev limiters. Nice safe 2500 rpm limit. No over rev fears. Call Me Now! :D
