I think you will see more and more of the ol timers retiring. With all the aggresive driving from the newbies, and the three races in one race scenerio, the chances of getting a "concussion" is more than before.
I had a severe concussion some 30 years ago, (put in a comma for 30 days to heal) and it is starting to effect me now.
Diagnosed as nerve damage from the brain injury.

Willie, I never knew that?? Please explain how you had the accident; your fault or someone else's? And how long ago was the accident?
Did they say this had a chance of happening?
