Anyone Know How Big Of Tire We Can Stuff Under The Back?

When you consider the Elio's light weight one thing to keep in mind is the weight bearing of the tires. While fat tires would look really kool I would be concerned about a couple of things. There may be adverse affects on antilock braking and traction control systems. My biggest concern would be hydroplaning. With only 500 or so pounds weight on each wheel (particularly the rear) getting caught in a rain storm could be really treacherous with wide tires. Could make a drive in a rain storm feel like a drive on glare ice.

PS the ultra gauge on the left is usually covering the dead temp gauge on the right I just needed to move it for this run to see the end of the speedo.
thanks it's sooooo cool, loved the leafs being blown off the driveway!!
back when I had an MG TD, w/ a buick v6, two memories-
pop the clutch see the sky
go more than around the block started to overheat (stock radiator was too small!!)
