Frankly, I wouldn't feel any safer in the narrow Elio in a side impact accident scenario. My Elio would serve as city commuter same as my FUV.

The Enclosed Elio has side curtain airbags.
Also the much larger front and rear crush zones would make me feel safer in an Elio going 70mph.

No reason not to have side curtain airbags... it's a must have at this point and the Elio cabin design uniquely makes it possible...not possible in FUV.

Not possible on the FUV? I'm seriously considering the idea of external airbags on my FUV. The Puffy Enclosure panel/airbag option:

I've been holding back and my wife's been holding me back from buying a motorcycle but this one's got her approval! I'll get the optional hard panel enclosures/doors then I can call it my personal "MyPOD"
