Weight can work for you or against you in a crash, obviously when hitting another heavier vehicle the elio will be at a disadvantage, but hitting an immobile object such as a telephone pole it will often be on the winning end compared to the heavier vehicle. I'd also much rather be in a 5 mph bumper scrape with an elio than a 5k lb rolls, or suburban.
