I'm an ex 3 plus packs a day smoker but when I smoked I detested these little twerps that had quit and felt the need to preach to others about the evil of smoking. I told one preaching ex-smoker guy that he should take up the habit again because he was much nicer then. LOL Once I got over resenting these preacher guys I finally quit cold turkey. I assigned all the money spent on cigs to a special account that I could spend anyway I wanted. I'm thinking there is enough to buy an Elio in that idea. When I smoked I had a placard on my desk that read. "Thank you for not breathing while I smoke".

I did a lot of stupid things when I was young and "bullet proof", I tried it. I was lucky to not get addicted. Yes, I don't know what it's like to quit, But I have read that for some, it is harder than quitting heroin. So, I have a lot of respect for anyone that quits. I also respect those that "try".
