Elio Insurance - Cost. - General Discussion And / Or Specifically Advanced Coverages.

Progressive is high - but after 4 years they get reasonable. I don't get that punitive rate for new customers...

Just the opposite for me- was with Aetna for 27 years and progressive was cheaper($200/yr) but after 4 yrs they went up- hello Geico

Progressive Insurance is one of George Soros's companies and since I have USAA I would never switch

USAA IS EXCEPTIONAL!

Talking with EM rep in Columbus, said if owners have a problem getting coverage, they will recruit an insurance company themselves, with quality coverage with a good price, like they did with Pep Boys, and give them all the business by offering it as an option. I think with every Elio under one insurance company, we should get a real good deal. JMO

Was stuck with Allstate for years tried to switch a couple of times but being a long time customer with all the discounts I couldn't find a better deal as with a new company being a new customer you get none of those deals. Being a vet someone turned me on to USAA, viola! I switched, didn't save much but they were a little lower even then all those long term customer rebates with Allstate.

USAA is excellent - I have my homeowner's insurance through them.
I haven't switched my auto insurance over because they can't beat the 'loyal customer' rate I've got with Erie, who are also fantastic. Plus, USAA doesn't do motorcycles directly.
I think those are the top two in customer satisfaction in any case.

Folks who just look at the rate do not realize that USAA pays a dividend each year based on their claims and for the more than 40 years that I have been covered by USAA I have received one. Mine have usually been in the $300 range. No one has been able to beat the annual cost.

They don't? Yeah I have my home owners with them too.......so they wont handle the Elio?

Can't say for sure, depends how insurance classifies it. I know when I was looking at motorcycle quotes they directed me to Progressive

When I called them in the Spring I had been told they would insure it as a compact car, but other people have received different answers.
