I've just emailed the NC Rep who sponsored the above legislation as well as our NC Senator requesting that he support it when it gets to the Senate

My answer from The U.S. Energy Secretary:

Dear Mr. Pool:

Thank you for your March 30, 2015 email to Secretary Moniz
regarding the Elio Motors application for an Advanced Technology Vehicles
Manufacturing (ATVM) loan. The Secretary has asked the Loan Programs Office to
respond.

We appreciate your interest in Elio Motors and federal financing
and funding opportunities available through the ATVM program. Additional
Information about the ATVM program, as well as current projects and funding
opportunities, may be found on the Department's website (www.energy.gov/lpo).

Thank you again for your interest in the program.

Sincerely,

U.S.
Department of Energy
Loan Programs Office

Or they just don't discuss anything with the general public...the return email was unsigned...it was about the most generic reply I have ever received from a government agency. Most of my missives to the IRS were answered more fully and signed by a real person....lol...
Oh, well, it was just a citizen's attempt to add a voice to the cause. I think if they received thousands of emails about an important cause it might matter...maybe not...
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
