I was Airforce from 1983-1988 and Airforce reseves for about a year in 1989. I was a crew chief on F111E and and F111A at RAF Upperheyford England and Plattsberg AFB in upstate New York, Then I was a crew chief on A10's at Barksdale in Louisianna in the reseves,

Got to play Flight Operations Chief during Operation Team Spirit in Korea for four weeks when I was stationed with Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni Japan. Even got to help change a front tire.

I have noticed many members who have discussed their service in various threads and wanted to start a thread about this. I know we have members across generations so I thought it would be interesting to hear a little about members service.

From 2000-2004 I served as a 25B Information Technology Specialist in the Army Signal Corps. I served tours in Afghanistan and Iraq where my role was to travel between various Forward Operating Bases and Combat Outposts supporting the technology systems needs including VOIP and internet access capabilities at MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) centers which allowed personnel to stay in touch with family back home.

I'm a new member, only a couple days old. I'm an Army veteran; Vietnam Vet, MP with the 138th Avaition Bn., one tour, Danang. Retired Contract Engineer.
