running the wiring for lights installed on fenders that move up and down as well as side to side could be interesting
Jim
The flexible brake hoses already on every car seem to work OK...![]()
Not only that but now you can do hand signals out both windows.Having learned to drive in the last half of the 1950s I learned to signal with my arm and hand. I am fairly certain this method will work today if for no other reason than it is unusual so will draw attention.Z
certainly .... didn't say it would be imposible, just that it would be interesting .... the brake hoses run to the center of the hub, not to the fender .... that's nothing that can't be overcome but will take some pondering
Jim
Jim, they could simply run the wiring towards the hub then fix it rigidly outwards along the fender bracket and the fender itself to the light unit. I just don't see any difficulty in that.

Here's a sort of to scale drawing of an Elio in an 8x20 parking stall, angled in the way I'd park it. Looks to me like the LH mirror should give a good view of oncoming traffic.
As I live in the country and commute to suburbia, I might parallel park half a dozen times a year, so it's not a big issue for me. Mine will have fender mounted flashers though, OEM or aftermarket.
