Very good idea, maybe Goofyone can whisper in a little birdies ear......

No whispering necessary as many others have been SHOUTING about it every day on the EM Facebook page and via other channels.

But seriously I know EM is well aware of the petition however I have no idea if they will get behind it or decide to just let this run its course without jumping in. It can be hard to know what these things look like from their point of view.

I was just checking out the 'How and Why'. As I suspected, the 100k has a meaning(below), but it doesn't exclude other activity by the White House Staff, if they like what they see. The 100k forces a Written response, anything else they might do is voluntary. Obviously, the more signatures we get the better, but they CAN choose to notice if they wish.

The petition is at 1,061 tonight.

I wish the Petition would have also said "The provision of an 84MPG vehicle at $6,800 would have wide ranging benefits to the public."

This might catch the eye of even casual visitors to the website.
