The Morgan 3 Wheeler

People have been trying to get the three wheel autocycles off the ground for a long time. Here are a few more I found from 1885 on. I think Elio has it figured out.

Is it just my personal prejudice (which I readily admit) or does the Elio look more stable and more comfortable? Yikes! Some of those are just plain scarey. And who would have guessed there were so many of them!

I agree with you zelio, the Elio does look like a stable solid platform. Yea, some of those other 3 wheelers of the past make riding a unicycle on the freeway look a lot safer. ha ha.

Correction, that BMW Isetta 300, does not belong in the mix of three wheelers.

Well that pretty much wins the prize for a unicycle - just motorized. ha ha. I actually saw videos of that thing a few years ago and couldn't believe that is was drivable. I'll stick with the Elio

Some of the photos were photoshopped, I found out it was a competition to photo shop a car to make it look like a 3 wheeler on a site...No BMW Z8 3 wheeler or 3 wheel Herbie the love bug.

There was a version of the Isetta that had only one wheel in the back. It was done to comply with a countries requirement to make it eligible for a certain status. WikiPedia.

I think the high price could be because they are hand made instead of mass produced?
