goofyone, thanks for posting this link http://www.caddo.org/DocumentCenter/View/608 It kind of made me wonder why they asked for demolition bids last year and getting one that included the named Elio area...so the county/parish would have got a payment to have it demolished of $8 million dollars.!!

The demolition bids were done simply to validate the investment of $7.5M in the plant before the deal was done. They looked at salvage value and land value.

Elio Motors owns an assembly line (that has to be modified for their needs).
Elio Motors has a sweetheart of a deal for a facility.
Now it's wait-and-see... can they garner funding to make it work?
I like their odds.
