On the one hand, I want to chime in with why I don't understand the need for heated mirrors. But ever since getting a car with heated seats I know I want them on my Elio as well, so I can understand the perspective of those who have become accustomed to certain small luxuries.

Amazon has thousands of heated mirror replacement heads.
Since 90% of the parts on the Elio are "off the shelf" parts, you can spend the time to find out what the mirrors are from and buy a heated replacement head to use in it's place. Or find something close and use it.
Why wouldn't EM do this? Cost; right now part of the battle is meeting the $6,800 price tag.
Offer it as an option? Great idea, make sure to contact them and ask them to add it too the list.
Sounding off about it here won't get it to the list.

I thought they'd already said it was going to be an option along with blind-spot detection.

All of you "luxury addicts" :boink: might want to think about a high output alternator, too! ;)

Jefferson used the duplicating machine that James Watt invented. (The same James Watt that invented the steam engine.) Benjamin Franklin sent it to Jefferson in ~1780. Jefferson later switched to a pantograph device invented by John Isaac Hawkins in the early 1800's. It had five pens. You used one to write, and it made four additional identical copies.

Speaking of mirrors.... I have these on both our cars and wouldn't live without them. They are especially good for seeing someone if you have a "blind spot".
