Am I right that the 2016 model's range is at 87 miles only? 2017 models are now up to 107 mile range so I should wait until 2018, buy then my SOLO should be available and I can buy a used 2017 model Leaf or even a used 2017 BOLT for my wife. Then again, the ELIO might, just might make it to 2018 production so exciting times ahead!:D

The 2016 model comes with the original 24kw/h battery, or an optional 30kw/h battery. The 30kw/h has an EPA-rated range of 107 miles.

I think the 2017 model only comes in the 30kw/h, but I can't remember for certain and I'm too lazy to look it up :p

Am I correct in assuming that only the SOLO and the ELIO are the only 3 wheelers out there that's nearing production?
Solo looks like a frostbit big toe...A little half baked in my opinion... Shouldn't have rushed it to production... Tortoise versus the hare scenario...May the best EM win...
Ever seen a tadpole? That's what my friends are saying about the ELIO! :D I got over it and now I'm all-in with it!;) They couldn't have designed the SOLO any better for a single seater, it's proportioned just right. If it was designed for 2 seaters, then it would have been a little longer, wider and the roof line will flow much better, but it is what it is. It's gotta be fun to "fill up voltage" than to "fill up gas" for a change!:D We're within a 30 mile radius to shopping malls, eateries, Home Depot, groceries, parks, etc. Any further and that's what ELIO is for but.....sadly we're nowhere near close to getting it let alone offering a test drive. EMV's already doing that which is a good gauge of progress. Exciting times ahead!;)

I tend to agree the Solo could be cooler looking. Front does not need a pretend grille, back needs something, maybe in the paint scheme, to make it look less stubby.
We've already seen a few videos of the SOLO testing and in slalom runs and it looks really stable because it's shorter. I'm no expert but if pitted against ELIO in sharp turns, Im afraid that ELIO will "tailspin" like a pendulum because it's longer. Of course both are not meant to be driven very aggressively but just sayin'. It's always something that can be added with added weight, not good for electrics. Totally agree with the grill. I'll take care of the paint scheme when I get mine!:D Add more and it'll cost more.

Boo boo, The front end design of the Solo looks much like Tesla's Model X & S...........cooler than than cool. IMO. Perhaps a designer faux grille insert option.
No getting around stubby as a single seater, but regardless the Solo is very aero dynamic. The Solo Twinn will be longer, but I can't wait that long for longer.

I'm driving mine aggressively! :)
It would be fun to see some Silas Sunday (?) paint scheme options for the Solo.

I like the look of that fluid contrasting color accent......good application for a custom wrap accent.

I think the black stripe on the racer does a lot to accentuate the curves and makes it look less stubby and more wiggily.

Yeah, that curvy stripe is pretty nice.
Also, I think they could have done something more unique with the grille. Why have a pretend radiator grille? Use that space to do something distinctive. Honestly, I don't see much similarity between the Solo and the Tesla other than the color, and the general shape dictated by the restraints of the functionality/regulations.

Agree! If I can get mine just like that racing green w/ black striping and SOLO logo on the sides without added cost, then I'm all for it! Better yet, I'll pay extra for the "glow in the dark" green paint if it even exists!:D:D
