I have to agree with that acentre, but Sondors is projecting a $16,000 price tag for the 200mi version.
The 75mi version is projected to be $10k and the 150mi version is projected to be $13k.
That's getting pricey enough to consider a four-wheeled electric instead.
I can't imagine why anyone would buy the 75mi version.
Many of the 4-wheelers are tried and true.

Just throw a Briggs & Stratton engine in an Elio and send it to me already!
It'd make more sense to buy an $8,000 used Nissan Leaf... even if it doesn't have a warranty. You could then save the other $8,000 to use for potential mechanical issues. And, as a bonus, you'd get a vehicle from a producer that knows what they are doing and will most likely still be in business in a couple of years. At $7,000, an Elio makes sense but not at $14,000. Same with Sondors' vehicle.

That is likely a true comparison of the SONDORs because it will drive like any other small platform EV. Not so much true with the Arcimoto because of the FUV’s FUN factor. Perhaps the SOLO is FUN factored as well, but I haven’t test driven it to verify. After my FUV test driving experience, it was so much fun to drive, I’d buy the open framed base model and ride it seasonally as a safer traditional Motorcycle, but will opt for hardshell enclosure for year around commutes. My requirement for a three wheel supplement to my primary vehicle is affordability, FUN, utility, and be able to get in and out of it.

I agree, but some of us already have 4 wheeled electric, or other, vehicles and need something unique and fun!
Elio should not have wasted capital developing a new engine, as they could have done that after the Elio was in production.
To me, the E is beginning to look old as they/we are being overtaken by newer technology, style, and buy-able. There will be, I am sure by 2020, many brands on the road attracting buyers and satisfied customers. Of course, should I /could I ever get back on 2 wheels it would NEVER be on an electric hog.

The final recessed rendition of the center light array of the Solo.
Note that all the front headlamps on the vehicle are now covered

The finalized production model SOLO’s styling looks awesome! What I note in the photo is how low the SOLO appears compared to the crossover SUV parked next to it and even somewhat lower than the sedans parked in the background. Also, it appears the driver is sitting in a seat only a few inches off the floorboard requiring legs to be outstretched. A question to reservationists that have test driven the SOLO: how easy is ingress/egress and getting legs over the battery rail, how is the driver’s sitting position comfort once in the vehicle, and is your line of sight at or near the typical SUVs bumper and or trunk lid height as it appears to be in the above photo? Also, it looks as though the line of sight of drivers in other vehicles on the road will be over the SOLO’s roof top making visibility a possible issue......to see and be seen.

the path elio should have taken!

Did you have a refundable deposit and did you request a refund? If this is the case and you are not getting your money back then this is a huge issue.

If you have a non-refundable deposit then you will never get your money back, but one day you might get the value returned in the form of a discount on an Elio. But the timeframe for that is completely unknown due to lack of funding to proceed at this moment.
