Congratulations wjdom, and welcome to the family. That will be 30,000 cups of coffee and beignets. Luckily for you, you will only have to pay for 29,998 of them. Music Man is buying mine and GoffyOne's.

Might even might find you two a nice home cooked meal, South Louisiana, Cajun style and a place to bed down out here in the country. Cities are nice places to visit, and Shreveport is not much different. . . . . . But ooooh, the country. :)

Just food for thought.

too poor to go $1000 deep
That's ok. We all understand that not everyone wants to and/or is able to quickly put together $1K for a vehicle which might be delivered more than a year in the future. We have plenty of members who have their own Elio savings fund and will just wait until it is their turn in line to pick up their brand new Elios or just wait until their local Elio retail store opens for business. (:

Only if we ALL show up together, on the same day. :D

Where should we show up, down on Decatur in the quarter. . . . . Or out off of Veterans, and Causeway? Hmmmm. . . . . . .
Bayou Segnette State Park would be perfect for a rally, camp ground, cabins, wave pool, picnic/bbq areas, etc... 20 min. from Bourbon st.... but sorry no beignets.

:( Sorry, wjdom, but you might get away with fooling some of our "northern" brethren with "toast bread"'to eat with their coffee, but being from Louisiana, and my Irish mother from New Orleans. . . . , afraid that ONLY Cafe au lait & beignets will work for me.

No, eddie. Sorry, but those 2 little coffee shops that I mentioned are way too small for that kind of numbers. BUT, I would be willing to bet that IF we could produce that many folks. . . . , "Cafe du monde," or "Morning Call," would be MORE than happy to cater it for us. . ., in the park or out at the the lake front. :)

Spread your blankets on the ground; Y'all come, Ya hear? ;)

Goin back a couple years, my bride used to fly up to Houma to do audits for Time Warner Cable. She always brought me home a box of beignets. Still remember them. Good eatin. I'll bring my poncho liner. Should fit in the trunk with my carry on for the return trip.
