I will be at the Raleigh event on Saturday the 13th, I will definitely be there 7pm-8pm and am considering playing hooky from work and being there for much of the day. The wonderful thing about sick days and a completely healthy year, 5 days to blow off if I want 
Who else is going and what days and timeframes are anticipated?

Another question which came out of some confusion after the Charlotte event is to try and confirm the manufacturer(s) for the manual transmission and AMT as well as confirming whether they are still looking at using the same base transmission in both versions with the AMT being an add-on component.

would you please see if they have decided at what point the first year reservation will end .... once they close it, will they issue reservation numbers to those with less than $1,000 All In .... doing so would sure help folks in making plans

I hope this light operates in the two-step fashion which has become more common in recent years where if the light comes on you still have time to get off the road as this is a warning however once it starts flashing then you know you are hosed. We will see.
By the way this is the way many idiot lights work in many cars today and actually is the way the check engine light is supposed to work by law. Of course your best bet is always to avoid having the lights come on in the first place however if one of those lights come on make sure to check it out right away as once it does start flashing you can bet you are causing some damage.

My check engine light in two of my vehicles are constantly on. I had them checked and they are faulty O2 sensors. I'm not really concerned about them, so after about a year of taking it to my mechanic and having him reset the light, I bought my own reader that can reset them. Now I reset them every couple of weeks (after verifying that the error code is the same error and not something different).
Interesting story:
I was concerned about the ethical dilemma of resetting the code right before getting it inspected, thus having it pass inspection when it probably should have failed. I know the cost to fix is over a thousand dollars, and I frankly don't care if the O2 sensor is bad or not. I stewed about this for a few weeks thinking, I can save a thousand dollars by just turning off this stupid light, but is that ethical and is it lying? So I decided that I would NOT turn off the light and if it didn't pass inspection, I would have to get it fixed.
Wouldn't you know it, three days before getting the car inspected, the light went out on it's own and the day after it passed, the light came back on. No lie. I consider myself blessed!

You did get very lucky and I would definitely consider that a blessing.
I know people reset those codes just before the test all the time however when you do that you must be careful as there is actually a built in drive cycle which must be run before the PCM reports that it is operating normally. In many states to discourage people from resetting codes you will actually fail the test if your computer reports that it has not completed the OBD-II Drive Cycle.
As my father owned an auto repair shop for a while one thing we did was run an emissions inspection station and during this period I was a certified as an emissions inspector. We managed to see so many people obviously trying to cheat in so many ways that it was actually a hard not to laugh at times. There were a few that likely went through more hassle to cheat than if they would have repaired the vehicle properly.
Check engine lights being on for various reasons really is not that unusual as it even happens to me. I have an older pre obd-II Honda Civic which is my daily driver as it still gets 40+ MPG on the highway and it has an interesting check engine light issue. The light comes on during extended highway runs of over an hour or so and will go away if I turn turn it off and and again which as this is a manual can even be done while moving down the highway. My dad and I have looked into it however our best guess is something just gets a big hot during these extended runs however it does not to be a big deal.
