That's not really fair Rick. If you go back to the beginning of this thread, KScarguy did say he's been away from this site for awhile, so he probaby hasn't heard all the updates the rest of us have over the months. It's perfectly fine to have reservations, even if you don't have a reservation. He didn't strike me as a hater, just requesting more information. We all are entitled to our opinions, and I enjoy reading the negatives, even though I may not agree. I was starting to have my own doubts with that post that stated the only standard color was black, which turned out to be not true. We're all one big happy family here. If you want haters, try reading the posts on facebook.

I've gone from this website for a long time. It was intentional. I stayed away from here and other Elio sites because I became a doubter.

I'd like to be a believer again, but I need proof. I need real information about actual Elio production.

Has anything changed? Is there a running engine? Is the plant actually being built with tooling to produce the Elio (not just moving or selling off existing equipment)? Is the production date set or still sliding around as always? Have any subcontractors started producing parts for the Elio? The last bit of news I heard was that Elio was going to hire 900 people to start working in late 2014. That is here and almost gone. Has anyone been hired or interviewed?

In a nutshell: Is there any physical and substantial progress towards production of the Elio?

Is there any reason for me to change my mind and believe they are actually going to build the Elio?

PS. Not a "hater"...just want to be convinced by facts and not speculation.

Read this over and over trying to find some shred of a credible attempt to obtain facts and not incite. Point is that it was written with the sarcasm key in the lock position and therefore worthy of the rebuttal. Nobody, except him, said anything about being a "hater".

I am amazed anyone could misrepresent what I asked and think I was using sarcasm.

All I asked was for current information, about the plant or elsewhere, that would show if Elio was gearing up for production. Why?, Because it will take them 12-18 months to build out the plant and if there are signs of progress there now, then it would be a good predictor of when the Elio will be available.

I hoped to read that Elio had started moving equipment around, that the assembly line was being modified to handle three wheels, that they were accepting applications and screening employees. That Electricians were moving power, that millwrights were hired to set up the machines, that the body dies were being built and the subcontractors were staring to set up their lines for producing parts. That delivery trucks were being modified for shipping, or that the first 100 reservationists were being invited to a party to pick up their Elios. I really hoped I would read something that showed there was a flurry of activity in the plant in Louisiana and hopefully it was not just a locked up building.

That's all. No sarcasm, just honest questions.

This seems like information that everyone would want to know.

I believe the best source of information you need is to read the Tech Talks at ElioMotors.com. There is lots of discussion on here and there are some people who are very knowledgeable about what is going on. One of those is goofyone. Not all the Tech Talks are technical but many are. You can actually sign up to receive Tech Talks and blogs through your email address but they are also posted here. I hope this information will help. :-) Z
