No matter where you stand in Michigan, you are never more than 85 miles from a Great Lake
There seems to be an inverse link between price and feet of snow.
That makes me feel cold just looking at it on the map.

You don't have to look too hard to find places like that down here. Be aware though that many others are "finding" the Ozarks, and riverfront property is getting more and more valuable. Better get it soon....

You can literally buy 7 houses in Detroit for $7k . City is practically giving away abandoned homes and waiving taxes . One caveat is that you must bring the house up to code within 12 months .

no services, and water bills in the thousands- the best they can hope for is knocking it all down, and making it a park
