I got a pump shut off for doing that. Mgr. said it was "unsafe" - of course, at a different station I was told not to back in, either. Again, unsafe. Guess which 2 stations I never darkened the door of again?
Both of these were while trying to fill the empty side of an old Chevy truck with dual...
We will have to see when there's a production model to look over. Nothings impossible.
FWIW, I'd personally rather have the weight out back and low than centered and high. To each their own.
You might want to reconsider changing that oil pan.
I'm not 100% certain on yours, but the pan on many of the small diesels is a structural part of it.
I'm looking for a small Perkins myself, to repower a 1950 Massey Harris tractor with a blown up gas motor.
Maybe I'll see you at the track someday, Jim!
Daytona in February always looks better than the usual snow banks outside my front door that time of year.
The automatic - actually an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) will be an extra cost option. Estimated pricing numbers I've seen here vary from $400-$1000.
I'm a racing nut. Mostly NASCAR, but I like anything going fast in competition.
Iowa Speedway, Brainerd Internaional Raceway, Road America, Crandon (off road racing) and literally dozens of small tracks are within a 1 tank range in an Elio.
Even a trip to NASCAR's home in Charlotte NC is less...
There are some (mostly used car) dealers that are willing to sell a car on consignment. Granted, they won't have an overpriced POS cluttering up their lot, but if it's something that's got good demand at a fair price, it might work.
That site contradicts itself. Further down the page it says they are not available.
At any rate, I personally don't like the single wheel idea behind an Elio. It's depending on the tow vehicle for roll stability, and is gonna cause a lot of torsional stress on the frame transmitting that load...
I won't pretend to completely understand your calculations, Snick.
I do get the general theory you have though.
My question is do those calculations take into effect the fact that the Elio has 3/4 the rubber on the road as a car?
Terrrence, anyone buying S/N 1 esp at a place like Barrett Jackson, is HIGHLY likely to be buying it as a collector, not a driver.
Think guys like Jay Leno or Rick Hendrick.
Get a map. Then when the GPS dies, you still know where you are.
Of course I'm gonna have to admit that I do have a GPS. I use it from time to time. But the best drives are found via Delorme's Atlas and Gazetteer. I have 4 of em, each 100+pages that cover one state. Every goat path, fire lane...
Z, if you were local to me, I'd sell it for you.
In 27 years of driving, I have yet to trade in a car. Heck, since I don't buy new, only 3 of my rides have come from a dealer to start with.
Me, I'll become a 3 car owner, for a while anyway. The Silverado will stay for the heavy lifting, and...
