Maybe not on your side of the area but I remember one December between Christmas and New Years when it got down to 10º for a week. A lot of the places with automatic sprinkler systems became very hazardous but beautiful ice sculptures. Sidewalks were a nightmare. I was working at LBL at the time and it was closed "to save money on heating energy for the week" - a big mistake because the unexpected extreme cold caused a lot of damage. It would have been cheaper to keep the buildings open and heated than the repairs cost. :-) ZDoesn't even get that cold here
Had breakfast with the family ( who live in Colorado ) on Saturday. Our Daughter asked how much weight We planned on loosing? When I told her my game plan is 120, ( even if it takes forever to get there and that's what I weighed when I got out of the Army at 28 ) her reaction was, "Mom your not 28 anymore! Theres a big difference between 28 yo bodies and 58yo bodies!" Yes there is but that doesn't mean I can't get there! No, I'm not 28 anymore but in my head, I don't feel 58 either!
I remember thinking the same thing about my parents! " Your not 30 or 40 or 50 or 60 anymore, stop climbing up on the roof, before you kill yourself!" Where was I on Sunday? Up on the roof! LOL! I think I can hit 120 by Christmas and be in the second best shape of my life. Best was at 25 right out of Boot Camp. 115 lbs, 7% body fat, 50 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 40 chin-ups, and ran 2 miles in 20 minutes in combat boots! I'll never be in that shape again but I think I can get pretty close!

Wind was blowing like crazy about 10 AM just before I left for the gym. Everybody's trash was blowing right into my yard!

I can see that! Leaves, a couple of yuppies, a WY lis plate. It would've been a good day to air mail me a letter!!
